Summary of the 2024 Work Plan of the Taiwan Qiaotou District Prosecutors Office

In accordance with the 2024 policy guidelines of the Executive Yuan, the Ministry of Justice’s administrative plan, and the objectives and unified directives of the Taiwan High Prosecutors Office’s 2024 work plan, as well as important instructions from higher authorities, this office has formulated its annual work plan. The key points and major objectives are as follows:

• Actively enhance investigative efficiency, improve case-handling performance, ensure prosecutors' full-time presence in court for public prosecution, strictly uphold the principle of non-disclosure in investigations, exercise coercive measures prudently, and strengthen human rights protections.
• Fully implement the Executive Yuan’s "National Integrity Building Action Plan" by prioritizing investigations into cases that significantly threaten government integrity. Strengthen the function of government ethics agencies to uphold political integrity, prevent corruption effectively, and maintain the government’s image.
• Enforce the government’s anti-drug policy, intensify drug-related investigations, and crack down on financial and money laundering crimes. Implement court-approved plans, promote anti-fraud initiatives, and strengthen the crackdown on fraud, extortion, and crimes affecting public welfare. Enhance efforts to combat intellectual property crimes, illegal firearms possession, and election bribery to maintain social order.
• Improve administrative efficiency to better support prosecutorial functions.
• Ensure proper budget execution and allocation.
• Establish legal education teams to actively promote legal awareness and education.
• Strengthen public service initiatives to enhance service quality.
• Reinforce the supervision and promotion of township and district mediation services to effectively reduce litigation sources and maintain social harmony.
• Continue strengthening oversight of lawyers and promoting legal aid services for the general public.
• Enhance the enforcement of criminal judgments and confiscation mechanisms, while actively advancing probation and correctional supervision services.
• Strengthen supervision over sex crime offenders, enforce protective measures, and apply technological monitoring to parolees to track post-release activities and prevent recidivism.
• Improve the management and disposal of confiscated evidence, ensure proper destruction of seized items, enhance archive management, and implement security measures in storage facilities to comply with archival regulations and improve operational efficiency.
• Strengthen case tracking, official document time control, and performance evaluation mechanisms to improve work efficiency.
• Actively handle victim compensation and restitution, while assisting in crime victim protection efforts to safeguard citizens' rights.
