In order to adjust the Kaohsiung District court organization to increase Justice Administration efficiency and to put the service of people into effect, making it more convenient for people, in response to the rapid development of Kaohsiung, the second district court was established in Kaohsiung, Ciaotou by Judicial Yuan. 

　    After full consideration of all suggestions from the Ministry of Justice related organs and groups, most agrees in naming the court after its location(Ciaotou district). Basing on service for people, to avoid from confusing by mistake and to meet the naming of district court nowadays by naming it after their location, the court was officially named Taiwan Ciaotou District Court.

　    The Ministry of Justice established Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office to cooperate with the operation of the Ciaotou District Court and was officially established in September 1st, 2016.
