Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office Directs Police and Coast Guard Authorities to Apprehend Fugitive Hsu Han in Taitung
Hsu Han, former Executive Vice President of the Refining & Manufacturing Business Division of CPC Corporation, Taiwan, had previously been charged with alleged violations of the Anti-Corruption Act and related offenses. While released on bail and under electronic monitoring as ordered by the Ciaotou District Court, Hsu allegedly damaged his electronic monitoring device and absconded on March 19, 2026, four days prior to the scheduled first-instance judgment.
In response, the Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office immediately assigned Chief Prosecutor Chen Chu-Chun and Prosecutor Yen Wei-Te to direct a joint task force composed of the Criminal Investigation Corps and Nanzih Precinct of the Kaohsiung City Police Department, the Taitung County Police Bureau, and the Coast Guard Administration to carry out a full-scale manhunt.
On March 24, 2026, the task force successfully apprehended Hsu Han in Taimali Township, Taitung County. The case is currently under active investigation by Prosecutor Yen Wei-Te of this Office.
