Statement Regarding News Reports on the Heshan Solar Power Plant Case in Dashu District, Kaohsiung
The Qiaotou District Prosecutors Office recently became aware of news reports that the Heshan Solar Power Plant site in Dashu District, Kaohsiung City, has violated soil and water conservation regulations, resulting in potential soil erosion hazards. Chief Prosecutor Chang Chun-Hui instructed Head Prosecutor Chen Chu-Chun and Prosecutor Yen Wei-Te to convene a special task meeting with the Water Resources Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government. The case was promptly assigned for investigation.
On June 23, 2025, the assigned prosecutor conducted an on-site inspection together with officials from the Soil and Water Conservation Division of the Water Resources Bureau to determine whether the company had indeed violated the soil and water conservation plan, thereby causing soil erosion hazards. Relevant documents have been obtained, and the investigation is ongoing to further clarify the facts of the case.
