Statement Regarding News Reports on Child Abuse Case at a Nursery Center in Kaohsiung

In mid-March 2025, Ciaotou District Prosecutors Office received a report from the Family Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention Center of the Kaohsiung City Government regarding an alleged child abuse case at a nursery center. Chief Prosecutor Cheng Tzu-Wei and Prosecutor Chen Yun-Ting, both from the Special Task Force for Women and Children, promptly directed the Nanzih Precinct of the Kaohsiung City Police Department to conduct a search in early April. Relevant evidence was seized, and the nursery center’s director, Ms. Chu ○○, along with staff members Ms. Yang ○○ and Ms. Tung ○○, were summoned for questioning. After questioning, they were released on bail in the amounts of NT$40,000, NT$40,000, and NT$10,000 respectively. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to collect evidence and the facts of the case are further clarified.
